Theresa Puccio has an MBA in Finance and is a Certified Treasury Professional (CTP), and a Certified Financial Risk Manager (FRM) which is a globally recognized risk management certification in over 141 countries. She has 20 years of professional work experience in Finance, most at a management level, in both the public and private sectors. Her specialties include Cash Management, Liquidity Management, Investment Consulting, Cash Flow Forecasting, Budgeting, and Policies and Procedures. Ms. Puccio has held numerous positions as a Corporate Treasurer at mid to large corporations and has been responsible for over $2 billion of cash and investments, as well as managing debt portfolios of more than $800 million.
Ms. Puccio is a results-oriented and hands-on individual with solid experience in a vast array of disciplines in Finance, as well as staff management, customer service, and even medical supplies purchasing and inventory control. At VSCLI, she will provide strong leadership on the finance, operational, and human resource sides of the business to ensure that VSCLI’s mission is upheld while growing its business. Ms. Puccio will guide VSCLI’s Team of talented and highly skilled veterinary professionals to delivering the very best care to our patients, while staying committed to our core values. Her focus is not only to lead VSCLI to be the premier Emergency and Specialty Referral Hospital on the east coast, but to also be the most desired Veterinary hospital to work, from the employee-experience/perspective.
Ms. Puccio grew up with dogs, cats, and horses and loves all kinds of animals. Ms. Puccio graduated with honors from Hofstra University for both her undergraduate and graduate degrees. Ms. Puccio has traveled to well over 50 countries in all seven (7) continents, speaks three languages, and is a competitive volleyball player. She was a full scholarship Division I volleyball player in college and later became a marathoner and Ironman athlete, who competed in Ironman Brazil, Ironman South Africa, and Ironman China. She has trained as a triathlete with various Teams and groups in a dozen countries. She has run the New York City Marathon three times and more than 10 full marathons globally. She also loves to ski, play golf and tennis and stays active with her ten year old son. VSCLI will be led by Ms. Puccio’s unparalleled leadership and commitment to both excellence and success.
